A lot of hard work and courage in the heart.
That’s how, in 1999, brothers Marcelo Marques and Claudiomar Marques transformed the backyard of their parents’ house, Mr. Edemar and Mrs. Elga, into the beginning of a story that would nourish the future. Marquespan started there, as a small factory that supplied bread only to grocery stores and small markets in the region. With a lot of hard work and entrepreneurial vision, the brothers guided the company by the same values that inspire us today: organization, punctuality, and an unconditional love for bread.

From one creation to the next, Marquespan expanded its horizons.
Each milestone marked a new chapter: in 2001, we reached beyond state borders and pioneered our frozen goods production; in 2007 we made our first sale in the state of São Paulo; and in 2013, the inauguration of the second plant in Tatuí. Under the leadership of Marcelo Marques, in 2022, we reached our sixth factory, with a capacity to produce 20 million loaves of bread per day. In 25 years, we are now opening our eleventh factory, becoming the largest producer of French bread in the world, with nearly 5,000 passionate employees and a company-owned fleet of more than 600 trucks, bringing flavor and quality to more than 20,000 customers throughout Brazil.

With eight plants equipped with cutting-edge technology, we produce 16 million loaves of bread a day. Our structure impresses not only by the numbers, but by the care in every detail.
From production to delivery, more than 5,000 dedicated employees and a company-owned fleet of more than 600 trucks and cars, ensuring that our products arrive fresh to more than 20,000 customers. Our modern plants in Tatuí (SP), Gravataí (RS), Curitiba (PR), Minas Gerais, and Mato Grosso do Sul are strategic points that allow us to serve with excellence all the regions where we operate.
But we are not just about machines and numbers. There are talented hands that control our machines, attentive eyes that supervise the quality, smiles that deliver each order.
